I’ve certainly noticed the big price increases in the supermarkets.
Like how a loaf of bread now cost me 70p where this time last year it only cost 50p. I can see the reasons why what with the war in Ukraine and the complications of Brexit. I was able to get a cost of living rebate recently which has helped a bit and that more rebates are to follow. That has highlighted to me the importance of keeping up to date with the news so I have the latest information. I’ve noticed the increase in energy & fuel prices and I really hope that measures are taken to reduce those prices as quickly as possible – most of us know that about 50% of the cost of fuel is tax, so maybe by reducing the fuel tax for a little while that might make things easier. This said the latest windfall tax on the big fuel & energy firms should help too – although I doubt it’ll hurt their bank balances much.
